For the people who know me, maybe you have witnessed behavior changes. I spend so much time trying to observe differences. I’m trying to be as intentional as possible. The clarity and resolve from getting pepper-sprayed, arrested, and facing a wild jury trial is a blessing. But it has also changed how how I eat, cope, live, and love. It has dampened, not what I think, but how I express. What I say will be used against me.
Can I be stopped from living authentically? Can I be projected upon, smeared, intimidated into true submission with no safe word? Could I possibly forget?
Panopticon isn’t about justice; It’s about control.
What do we talk about when we talk about power?
